Located within a late 19th-century courtyard building in the heart of Milan, this renovation project reinterprets the interior spaces through a restrained architectural language, where clay brick becomes both a construction material and a defining design element.

The Cerchio Sunbreaker 24×12×8 was used to create a full-height bookshelf that defines the space while preserving visual continuity. The distinctive geometry of the element generates a dynamic interplay of solids and voids, lightening the structure and enhancing the tactile qualities of the terracotta.

The use of Solid Red Facing Brick FV 24×12.5×5.5 establishes a dialogue with the building’s original character, recalling its historic construction tradition while integrating seamlessly into a contemporary composition.

The result is a project that brings together memory and innovation, demonstrating how clay brick can take on new functions within interior architecture while preserving its authentic material identity.
